One-on-one orthopedic physical therapy for neck, back, shoulder, hip, knee, and foot pain — serving Hurricane, Teays Valley, and Putnam County. A full hour with your doctor of physical therapy every visit, and no referral needed in West Virginia.
At Faith in Motion, our physical therapy services are designed with one goal in mind: helping you move better so you can live stronger. We understand that pain and limited mobility affect more than just your body—they impact your entire life. That's why our approach combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion to address your unique needs.
Our licensed physical therapists create individualized treatment plans that address your specific challenges and goals, whether you're recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or working to improve your overall physical function.
Schedule Your SessionYou don't have to be an athlete or be post-surgery to benefit from physical therapy. Most of the people we see are simply tired of hurting during everyday life — sitting at work, sleeping through the night, lifting a grandchild, walking the dog. These are the areas we treat most.
Stiff, achy, or sharp neck pain from desk work, poor sleeping positions, whiplash, or arthritis — including the tension headaches and shoulder-blade pain that come with it.
Rotator cuff strains and tears, impingement, bursitis, frozen shoulder, and post-operative shoulder rehab. If reaching overhead or behind your back hurts, this is us.
Low back and mid-back pain, disc irritation, muscle strain, stenosis, and the recurring flare-ups that keep coming back every few months. The most common reason people come to us.
Pain, numbness, or tingling that travels into the buttock, thigh, calf, or foot — treated by finding what's irritating the nerve, not just chasing the symptom.
Hip arthritis, bursitis, labral irritation, groin and glute pain, and total hip replacement rehab. Also the hip weakness that quietly causes back and knee pain.
Arthritis, meniscus injuries, ligament sprains, kneecap pain, tendon pain, and total knee replacement rehab — so stairs, hills, and getting off the floor stop being a problem.
Plantar fasciitis and heel pain, Achilles pain, ankle sprains, chronic instability, and post-fracture stiffness.
Tennis and golfer's elbow, wrist tendon pain, carpal tunnel symptoms, and stiffness after a cast or hand surgery.
Osteoarthritis in any joint. The right loading and strength program often reduces pain and delays or avoids the need for surgery.
Knee, hip, shoulder, back, ankle, and hand surgeries. We follow your surgeon's protocol and keep building strength well past the minimum.
Unsteadiness, fear of falling, and reduced walking distance in older adults — strength, balance, and confidence rebuilt step by step.
Lifting injuries, repetitive strain, and pain from standing, driving, or sitting all day, with practical changes you can actually make at work.
No confusing runaround, and no being handed off to an aide. Here's how care actually works here.
Your first visit is a full hour with your doctor of physical therapy. We listen to the whole story, examine how you move, and find the cause — not just the sore spot.
You leave knowing what's wrong, roughly how long it should take, what we'll do about it, and what you'll do at home. In plain language.
Manual therapy, joint and soft tissue work, dry needling, cupping, IASTM, and blood flow restriction as needed, paired with exercise that actually targets your problem.
We build strength past the point pain stops, then send you off with a plan to keep it from coming back.

It depends on the problem and how long you've had it. Many people feel meaningful improvement within two to three weeks, while post-surgical or long-standing issues take longer. You'll get a realistic estimate at your evaluation.
Treatment should be challenging, not miserable. Some techniques create temporary soreness, and we adjust intensity to what your body tolerates. You are always in control of what we do.
Almost never. Long-standing pain often responds well once someone finally identifies the underlying movement and strength problems driving it. It's worth one evaluation to find out.
Frequently, yes — especially with arthritis, back pain, and many shoulder and knee problems. And if you do end up needing surgery, going in stronger makes recovery easier.
Your plan may draw on several of these. Explore anything below or just ask at your evaluation.
