Speed, strength, power, and injury prevention for athletes in Hurricane, Teays Valley, and Putnam County — coached by doctors of physical therapy. Group classes run twice a year for grades 3–6 and 7–12, and 1-on-1 training is available year round.
At Faith in Motion, we empower athletes of all levels to reach peak performance through our specialized Sports Performance programs. Built on a foundation of physical therapy expertise, our training systems are designed to optimize strength, enhance movement efficiency, and prevent injuries across all sports and competitive levels.
That clinical background is the difference. We don't just make athletes tired — we screen how they move first, find the limitations that lead to injury, and build the program around what we find.
Whether you're looking to earn a scholarship, compete at a higher level, or simply maximize your athletic potential, our evidence-based approach combines sports science with clinical expertise to help you achieve breakthrough results.

Small-group training in a competitive, motivating environment with sport-specific drills. We run two series each year — a 12-week winter series and an 8-week summer series — split into age-appropriate groups.
Available year round, in and out of season. A performance plan built for your sport, your position, and your goals, with coaching and progressions adjusted every session.
Two series a year, two age groups, athletes training alongside teammates and competitors their own age.
Our longest block of the year, built for off-season development: strength, power, and movement quality while competition schedules are light. Twelve weeks is long enough to make real, measurable change.
An 8-week block timed for the run-up to fall sports. Speed, agility, conditioning, and preparing bodies to handle the jump back into practices and tryouts.
Younger athletes train the fundamentals: how to sprint, land, cut, decelerate, and control their bodies. Coaching is age-appropriate and heavy on movement skill, coordination, and confidence — not maxing out.
Middle and high school athletes progress into true strength and power development, sport-specific speed work, and the injury-prevention work that matters most as training volume and competition ramp up.
Group training here still means eyes on your athlete. Every rep is coached, and technique gets corrected before it becomes a habit — or an injury.
Because we're a physical therapy clinic, we can spot a movement problem or a nagging issue early and adjust, instead of training straight through it.
Every program is built from the same foundation, then tailored to the athlete and the sport.
Sprint mechanics, acceleration, and top-end speed — the most transferable athletic quality there is.
Cutting, decelerating, and reacting. Most non-contact injuries happen in these moments, so we train them deliberately.
Progressive, technically coached strength work that builds the foundation everything else sits on.
Jumping, landing, and rate of force development for athletes who need to be explosive on demand.
Range of motion and control, so athletes can get into strong positions instead of compensating.
Targeted work for the areas that break down most in youth sport — knees, ankles, shoulders, and low backs.
Sport-specific work capacity so your athlete is still competing well in the fourth quarter.
How to manage load, sleep, and soreness across a long season instead of running on empty by playoffs.
Athletes at every level, from first-time competitors to college prospects.
Building movement skill and confidence early, in a setting that's supportive rather than intimidating.
Grades 7–12 working on speed, strength, and staying healthy through a full season.
Managing training loads across overlapping seasons without burning out or breaking down.
Athletes training for the physical demands and standards of the next level.
Finished physical therapy but not truly back? We bridge the gap between cleared and confident.
Weekend competitors and lifelong athletes who still want to get faster and stronger.
Whether you're joining a class or training 1-on-1, it starts the same way.
Call or send us a message and tell us the athlete's sport, age or grade, and goals — plus any injury history we should know about.
We assess how the athlete moves, where the limitations are, and any injury risk worth addressing before loading them up.
Join the next group series, start 1-on-1 sessions, or do both. We'll tell you honestly which fits the athlete better.
Programming progresses as the athlete does, and we retest so improvement is something you can actually see on paper.

We offer two series a year: a 12-week winter series and an 8-week summer series. The winter block focuses on off-season strength and power development, and the summer block prepares athletes for fall sports. Call 304-760-9664 or message us to find out when the next series starts and to get your athlete on the list — groups fill up.
Classes are split into two groups: grades 3–6 and grades 7–12. Splitting them matters. Younger athletes need to learn how to sprint, land, cut, and control their bodies, while older athletes are ready for real strength, power, and sport-specific work.
That's what our 1-on-1 sessions are for — they're available year round. Plenty of athletes do 1-on-1 work between series, or use it alongside a class to address something specific like a position demand or a past injury.
Almost certainly not. Athletes in grades 3–6 aren't lifting heavy weights — they're learning to move well, which is the single best investment a young athlete can make. And this isn't only for starters and standouts. Most of our athletes just want to get faster, stronger, and stay healthy.
That's a core part of what we do. Strength, landing mechanics, and change-of-direction training are the best tools we have for reducing non-contact injury risk in youth athletes, and they're built into every program rather than treated as an add-on.
Performance training is a self-pay service, not a billed medical visit — so there's no deductible to meet and no claim to file. If your athlete has pain or an injury, that's physical therapy instead, and we can bill it. Not sure which one you need? Call us and we'll help you figure it out.
